Founded in 2019, Hele Wai’s mission is to help protect our island communities most valuable resource, water through exploration and education. The most effective tool to generate water in the natural world is a healthy, native forest in our watersheds. We have partnered with Pu’u Kukui Watershed Preserve to offer an in-depth eco-tour to educate and inspire our island visitors and locals to help preserve and protect the ‘aina (land). Along with your guide, you will gain access to private conservation lands in an undisturbed Hawaiian rainforest and discover the ecosystems that make Hawaii so special and alluring.
